1. Refunds and Exchanges
Central Discount Furniture is committed to customer satisfaction. If an item is not functioning properly, it may be returned for an exchange to the original store.
Furniture must be returned within 7 days of purchase.
Mattresses and bedding must be returned within 24 hours of delivery or pickup, and must remain in their original packaging. Opened bedding is not eligible for returns or exchanges.
All returns and exchanges require the original receipt—no exceptions.
Exchanges for orders from our Philadelphia warehouse are subject to a 35% restocking fee and must be requested within 7 days.
2. Cancellations
Orders cannot be canceled or exchanged without a receipt.
Cancellations after an order is placed are subject to a 35% cancellation fee.
The cancellation fee applies regardless of the reason or the timing of the cancellation.
3. Merchandise Pickup
If merchandise needs to be transferred from our warehouse or other store locations, a pickup fee will apply. The fee and estimated pickup time will be determined by the store manager.
Central Discount Furniture staff will assist with loading merchandise into vehicles, but the customer assumes all responsibility for any damage to their vehicle or the merchandise during loading or transit.
4. Delivery Policy
Central Discount Furniture offers three types of delivery services:
Curbside (Contactless) Delivery: Products will be placed outside the customer’s residence.
Inside Room Delivery: Items will be placed in the specified room, but setup is not included.
Curbside Pickup: Pickup is free at our Temple Hills or District Heights locations (rope is available for $5).
Delivery is managed by a third-party service, and Central Discount Furniture is not liable for damages during or after delivery.
Once paid, delivery fees are non-refundable.
Delivery times are estimates, with general windows from 9 AM to 11:59 PM.
A responsible adult (18 years or older) must be present for deliveries.
For in-stock items, delivery typically occurs within 2-3 working days, while special or out-of-stock items may take 3-14 days. Customized orders can take 4-6 weeks.
5. Same-Day Delivery
Same-day delivery is available for select items ordered before 12 PM, Monday through Friday, in eligible areas. For orders placed after 12 PM or on weekends, delivery will be scheduled for the next business day. Availability is subject to stock and other factors such as traffic and location.
6. Damaged Merchandise
Any damage to merchandise must be noted on the delivery order within 24 hours. A replacement will be provided by a third-party delivery service within 8-20 business days.
If no damage is reported at delivery, Central Discount Furniture will not be responsible for subsequent claims.
7. Furniture Assembly
Customers can opt for the delivery and assembly service at checkout to ensure furniture is assembled upon delivery.
8. Storage Policy
Any purchase for pickup, delivery, or layaway is subject to a 35% monthly storage charge, with a minimum of $50.
Storage charges apply after 7 days from the original purchase date, as well as for unsuccessful delivery attempts.
Layaway orders held for over two months will also incur a 35% storage charge.
9. Layaway Terms
Layaway is available for up to 60 days with a 25% deposit. No refunds or exchanges are available for catalog or special orders placed on layaway.
A 65% cash refund or store credit is available for canceled layaways.
Layaway receipts are required to redeem merchandise. A lost receipt fee of $40 applies, and Central Discount Furniture does not guarantee receipt duplication.
10. Refurbished Mattresses and Sofas
Refurbished items are sold as-is, without warranties. It is the customer’s responsibility to inquire if an item is refurbished.
Central Discount Furniture is not liable for any health risks associated with refurbished items.
11. Protection Plans
Protection plans are offered by third-party carriers. Customers must contact the plan carrier directly for any claims or issues with merchandise.
Central Discount Furniture is not responsible for damages covered under these plans.
12. Rent-to-Own & Payment Plans
Central Discount Furniture partners with Snap Finance and Acima for rental and payment plans. These plans are binding contracts between the customer and the provider, with Central Discount Furniture holding no responsibility for any issues.
13. Privacy Policy
Central Discount Furniture takes steps to protect the privacy of customer data. In the event of a breach, Central Discount Furniture is not liable for any consequences that may arise.
